Abstract

Back in 2016, I developed SelfieSign, a revolutionary video-based e-signature solution designed toelevate trust and security in digital transactions. Unlike traditional e-sign solutions, SelfieSign usesaudio-visual recording during the signing process to capture both the signer's biometric traits and theirexplicit intent to sign. This ensures the authenticity and legal validity of every signature. 

At the core of SelfieSign lies its unique and patented .SVS (Selfie Video Signature) technology. Inaddition to the commonly used PAdES format, the .SVS electronic signature file embeds the signer’sdigital signature along with their video recording, voice, location, timestamp, hash code, and otherdetails. To further enhance security, it also uses random AES keys and RSA encryption to safeguard thesigned video, in full compliance with the EU's eIDAS XAdES and ASIC standards. This makesSelfieSign suitable for high-risk and highly regulated industries where AES (Advanced ElectronicSignature) e-signatures are required. 

Today, SelfieSign is quickly becoming the go-to solution for secure and efficient electronic signatures.It has gained significant traction in Taiwan, particularly within the medical field, with over 70% ofmedical centers replacing their paper-based processes with SelfieSign. This translates to over 70,000hospital beds utilizing SelfieSign for electronic consent forms and other procedures, saving up to 100million sheets of paper per year. And beyond healthcare, SelfieSign has also been embraced by variousother industries like banking, insurance, securities, real estate, insurance brokerage, and governmentagencies.

Biography

From the operating room to the boardroom, my journey has been fueled by relentless curiosityand a desire to innovate. As a graduate of Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan, Ispecialize in digestive medicine and chronic disease management.But I have always been drawn to the intersection of medicine and technology. Co-founding LianAn and Tai An Hospitals and holding leadership roles at several healthcare institutions, Iwitnessed firsthand the challenges of managing patient care and communication.This experience helped me found ThinkCloud Technology and lead the development oftransformative technologies like SelfieSign, a video-based e-signature solution, and FaceOTP,an AI-powered OTP authentication tool. Today, SelfieSign has garnered global recognition,winning prestigious awards including the Gold Medal at the Concours Lépine InventionsExhibition in France, Gold Medals for Paperless and Innovative Services from Taiwan'sMinistry of Health and Welfare, and the Future Commerce Innovation Technology Award.
