Abstract 

BROADSIMS Inc. is the world's first platform-based vital-sign monitor that integrates multi-dimension human-body information, including electrical signals (ECG, EEG), optical signals (blood oxygen, temperature), air (blood pressure), sound (stethoscope, cardiopulmonary sounds), images (ultrasound, facial endoscope), and blood (blood glucose). The physical information is converted into digital signals that can be utilized and calculated via API calling to develop specific disease screening and/or diagnosis. Not only human-body signals, but also peripheral multimedia and communications interface can be applied via API, including 4G/5G mobile function, WiFi/Bluetooth, and camera functions. Accordingly, this platform, offering waveform, images, and data points, enables a variety of innovation by software development. The generated applications can be applied to variant fields, including in-hospital fields, pre-hospital emergency care, home medical care, long-term care, and telemedicine.

Biography

Dr. Bruce Yu is currently the founder and CEO of BROADSIMS Inc., devoting himself integrating both electronics and biomedical engineering fields into a success industry product and business. His academic background is from wireless communications with baseband processor ASIC chip design, while he has leveraged this IT experience and developed his career in medical device industry. The success cases include: a mini patch-based insulin pump, optical-based blood glucose meter, wireless EKG patch.
